Phone and online (Skype or Zoom) consultation are available and the fees are the same as for in-person consultation.
Please be aware that private health insurance companies do not pay rebates for online and phone consultations
Initial consultation (general and female reproductive) $140 (75mins)
Long follow-up consultation $90 (60mins)
Regular follow-up consultation $60 (30mins)
Couples initial consultation $220 (90mins)
Couples follow-up consultaion $90 (60mins)
Phone and skype consultation fees are the same as for in-person consultation. Consultations are GST-exempt, however, all prescriptions incur GST.
Every person’s prescription requirements will differ so it is impossible to estimate the costs for prescribed nutritional supplement and herbs. I always aim to keep supplements and herbs to the essentials.
The clinic accepts credit card (Mastercard, Visa), EFTPOS or cash payments. Please note fees are due on the day of the consultation.
** This has changed in April 2019 when the government advised private health insurers to limit what they provide rebates for. I understand that this decision is under review and will update as I hear more but at this point, rebates are not available.
I am registered with all the major private health funds and consultation fees are claimable through most funds. I am unable to estimate the amount of rebate/refund you will get as it is dependent on the type and level of cover you have. Please check your policy details or call your health insurance provider to find out how much you will be eligible for. The receipt issued at the time of consultation includes my provider number so that you can submit your claim with your fund.
Please note that a minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or change an appointment. Failure to provide this notice will incur a cancellation fee of 50% of the value of the scheduled appointment.
Please bring copies of any tests or scans you have had; this helps in the initial assessment so I can decide if further testing is required and to prevent retesting unnecessarily.
If you have been charting your period and/or ovulation, please bring this along as well. if you use an app, print out the summary if able.
This depends entirely of what treatment you require, as I do not work on a pre-set program for everyone. As a guide though, the second appointment is typically 2 to 3 weeks after the initial consultation and thereafter appointments are every 2-6 weeks until stabilised. Many clients have long and complex histories and they may require longer and/or more frequent appointments in the initial stages.
Well, if they are planning on being the father, or supporting you during pregnancy and sharing parenting (even if not the father), then that would be helpful. Male and female factors contribute to conception, pregnancy and a healthy baby, so even if the future father is well, it is still important to have a preconception check and diet and lifestyle review so you are both in the best place in preparing for pregnancy and parenthood. If the future father has any health issues, fertility related or otherwise, then it is essential to address those before starting to try for conception. See Preconception Care
